On March 13, 2024, the hospital held a collaborative meeting for the transfer and training of expertise with Associate Professor Pham Tho Tuan Anh, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Society of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.
During the session, the expert held a seminar with the hospital’s doctors on the topic of “Varicose Veins.” The seminar helped the doctors enhance and update their knowledge on vascular diseases, varicose vein, particularly peripheral veins, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and superficial vein thrombosis.
On the same day, he also held a specialized department briefing, consulted on complex cases, and met with doctors. Through typical case studies, the expert shared, trained, and updated medical knowledge for the hospital’s team of doctors.
He shared: “In the coming time, we will collaborate and strengthen specialized fields such as vascular diseases and heart conditions, which require expert support. Although Dong Nai -2 Hospital is a lower-tier hospital, it is equipped with modern medical equipment and has a dedicated, enthusiastic team of doctors. This is a great strength of the hospital. With this existing strength and the support of advisors, I believe Dong Nai -2 Hospital will gradually develop in more specialized techniques.”
Mr. Truong Thiet Dung, Medical Director of Dong Nai -2 Hospital, said: “The hospital’s direction in 2024 is to focus on training and receiving the transfer of specialized techniques. The hospital will enhance cooperation activities with experts, not only in cardiology but also in obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, and trauma, so that when patients visit the hospital, they can benefit from high-quality medical services and receive consultations from leading experts in the province, saving them both time and travel costs.”
